1. Assessment

Speech and/or language assessments with formal report provided if desired.
Treatment recommendations will be provided as part of the assessment.
Assessment and report to submit for funding applications (PUF, FSCD).

Understanding where your child is at in their communication journey is essential, and an assessment will provide this. It will identify your child’s strengths and areas of need and provide a foundation for a therapy program going forward. A complete assessment may take more than one session. We want to ensure that your child is comfortable and you have an opportunity to share all your information. You know your child best. An assessment report with the results can be provided for you to share with any other agencies, therapists and/or educators.

2. Individualized Therapy

One-on-one, in-person therapy.
Individualized, play-based therapy sessions.
Collaboration with parents/guardians to facilitate the greatest change in your child’s communication.

Based on the results of the assessment, a Speech-Language Pathologist will work with you to develop a therapy program based on your child’s needs. In order for them to learn they need to feel comfortable, have fun and feel supported. We will ensure your child is eager to participate in the therapy sessions and looks forward to the next one. Our therapy is always based on current research and driven by the interests and needs of your child. Having you, as the caregivers, participate in therapy sessions is essential. You need to feel comfortable and confident in your role providing support strategies outside of therapy time.

3. Consultation

Consultation services are available to families, educators and other team members to answer questions, provide strategies and resources regarding your child’s communication skills.
Finding a therapist that is a good fit for your child and for you is paramount. Please feel free to contact us for an initial conversation. Based on this, consultative services may be the next step. This could include an initial visit with your child to determine the best way forward. If your child already has other professionals involved, consultation services would also involve them in any strategies and programs.
